The proposed Grey Ribbon Management techniques have grown (evolved) out of an effort to develop an effective and peaceful tool for the management of a particular type or set of insidious relationship dynamics that invariably include gas lamping or gas lighting (marginalization and obfuscation) and topical shunning (tactical conversational avoidance). The techniques are not for everyone, or every situation of interpersonal difficulties.
Understanding the techniques is best achieved by reading this module, with the related Questions and Answers module. The questions and answers module discusses, in more detail, the timing of the presentations, offers a very useful example, and clarifies who the techniques are intended for and what situations apply.
